Abstract

L'invention concerne le contrôle d'articles métalliques par ultra-sons selon la technique sous incidence oblique avec captage après réflexion en évitant de fausses indications de défauts dues à des écarts entre la surface réfléchissante et la surface nominale. Elle consiste à déterminer la position et l'orientation de régions élémentaires de la surface réfléchissante 13 et de faire réfléchir le faisceau d'ultra-sons par ces régions ou par des régions localisées par interpolation, l'exploration étant effectuée par la manipulation d'un palpeur 18 pour l'obtention d'une réflexion maximale donc normale par ces régions. L'invention s'applique au contrôle d'une paroi d'enceinte 11.
