Abstract

Dans une valve << papillon >> d'un carburateur utilisé pour l'alimentation en mélange d'air et de carburant d'un moteur à combustion interne est pratiquée une ouverture. Une lamelle flexible est fixée sur le papillon de valve, en position normalement éloignée de ladite ouverture. Durant la phase de lancement du moteur, la faible dépression régnant dans le collecteur d'aspiration n'est pas suffisante pour vaincre la raidure de la lamelle élastique, ce qui permet l'introduction d'un débit d'air additionnel au travers d'un orifice ménagé dans le papillon de valve. Dès que le moteur a démarré, la dépression dans le collecteur d'aspiration croît rapidement, ce qui a pour effet de déformer la lame qui vient obturer l'orifice. La valve papillon se comporte alors comme une valve papillon classique. Application aux valves papillon de carburateurs pour moteurs à combustion interne.
