Abstract

La cellule du dispositif selon l'invention a une structure en couches; elle comporte deux électrodes transparentes se faisant face à une certaine distance et pouvant être commandées électriquement; une couche électrochromatique et une couche de liquide électrolytiquement conducteur 12 se trouvent entre ces deux électrodes. Pour augmenter la durée de vie de la cellule, suivant l'invention la couche de liquide électrolytiquement conducteur se compose d'une matière fibreuse céramique imbibée d'électrolyte et ayant un indice de réfraction supérieur à 2, comme par exemple la zircone. La couche liquide se trouve entre une plaque frontale 11 comportant un contact d'attaque ainsi qu'une couche électrochromatique et un élément d'espacement 13.
