Abstract

L'invention concerne les applications de l'électro-optique. L'électrolyte faisant l'objet de l'invention est du type contenant une substance se dissociant avec formation d'ions hydrogène (H**+) dont la concentration se chiffre par 10**-7 à 10** -1 ion-gramme/litre, et est caractérisé en ce qu'il contient une forme oxydée (Ox) et une forme réduite (Réd) de substances assurant le déroulement d'une réaction électrochimique réversible donatrice-acceptrice pour l'ion hydrogène, du type :
