Abstract
L'invention concerne l'industrie chimique. Procédé pour éliminer dans les gaz de fumée les oxydes de soufre formés par combustion de matières fossiles 4, au moyen de pierre à chaux ou de dolomite 5, introduit dans la zone de combustion, les oxydes de soufre étant liés à l'oxyde de calcium ou de calcium-magnésium formé à partir du carbonate et étant éliminés du gaz de fumée, l'oxyde de calcium ou de calcium-magnésium étant évacué en il et éteint à l'eau en 13, l'hydroxyde de calcium ou de calcium-magnésium obtenu étant recyclé en 18, 19 dans la zone de combustion ou en 20 dans les gaz provenant de la zone de combustion. Application notamment à la combustion de houille, schiste et huiles.
