Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé pour le plissage d'articles divers tels que des étoffes dans le sens de leur longueur. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste : - à délivrer à plat la matière à plisser; - à former les plis dans le sens de la longueur de ladite matière; - à réceptionner la matière plissée, et il se caractérise par le fait que l'on délivre et réceptionne la matière de façon continue, sans arrêt ni temps mort, et que, lors de l'avance de ladite matière, on provoque une mise en forme progressive et continue des plis, la matière étant maintenue pratiquement sans tension dans son sens transversal et avantageusement sous tension longitudinale constante. Application : plissage de matières textiles, de papiers, de feuilles métalliques, de films dans le sens de leur longueur.
