Abstract
Ce système, monté en série sur une ligne de transport à haute tension continue, est capable d'extraire une quantité donnée d'énergie de la ligne et de la transformer en une puissance complexe, somme d'une puissance active et d'une puissance réactive, pour l'alimentation d'une charge électrique en régime sinusoïdal. Le système comprend essentiellement des moyens d'extraction et de conversion de l'énergie véhiculée sur la ligne en puissance active; des moyens générateurs de puissance réactive, reliés à ladite ligne, qui alimentent les moyens d'extraction et de conversion ainsi que la charge électrique en puissance réactive ; et des moyens de commande, reliés aux moyens d'extraction et de conversion et aux moyens générateurs de puissance réactive, qui assurent l'alimentation en puissance active de la charge par les seuls moyens d'extraction et de conversion précités.
