Abstract
PURPOSE:To supply stable power even at the time of an abrupt and large load change by forming a combined system of synchronous motor and induction motor. CONSTITUTION:An induction motor 8 and an induction generator 9 are combined with each other via flywheel and the induction motor 8 is driven by a power source with a frequency higher than a commercial frequency generated by an inverter 6. When a switch 11 is closed, the induction generator 9 is synchronized with commercial frequency and its output changes by the power frequency of the induction motor 8. When an abrupt and large load is generated, a controller 13 detects it by the input from a current transformer 20 and transformer 21 inserted into a power line 16 to increase the fuel injection of engines of induction generators 3, 4 and to close the switch 11. A high generated power from the induction generator 9 operated at high speed is supplied via a transformer 38 to compensate the abrupt and large load.
