Abstract

La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'yttrium métallique et d'alliages d'yttrium. Selon le procédé on fait réagir du calcium (métal) et du fluorure d'yttrium ensemble en employant un arc électrique immergé dans du laitier en fusion. L'invention concerne également de l'yttrium et des alliages d'yttrium obtenus par la mise en oeuvre de ce procédé. L'invention est par exemple applicable pour la fabrication d'alliages d'yttrium et de fer ou d'alliages d'yttrium et d'aluminium.
