Abstract
The radiated energy collector and concentrator can be used in reverse role as radiation distributor. The collector is used for low or medium concentration ensuring sufficient heating within a temperature range varying from 80-150 deg. and for concentrating solar energy to solar cells. The wedge shaped collector component (10) is made of transparent material with a high refractive index. At least one internal surface acts as reflector, and a receiver (13) is arranged at the wedge end face. Solar radiation undergoes total internal reflection and arrives on the receiver. The solar energy collecting surfaces of the wedge are greater than the receiver surface for ensuring concentration.
