Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet un procédé pour éliminer des oxydes d'azote d'un gaz d'échappement en contenant par contact de ce gaz avec de l'ammoniac en présence d'un catalyseur. Elle est caractérisée en ce que ce catalyseur comprend un oxyde de manganèse, obtenu par chauffage de carbonate de manganèse entre 200 et 500 degrés C dans une atmosphère d'un gaz contenant au moins 1 % en volume d'oxygène. Elle se rapporte à l'élimination des oxydes d'azote d'un gaz d'échappement à une température inférieure à 200 degrés C.
