Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement thermique en continu de tôles noires d'épaisseur comprise entre 0,05 mm et 1 mm, lesdites tôles étant éventuellement destinées à la fabrication de fer blanc, comprenant une opération de chauffage suivie d'une opération de refroidissement rapide. Le procédé est caractérisé en ce que l'opération de chauffage consiste d'une part, à porter les tôles à une température comprise entre 650 degrés C et 850 degrés C et d'autre part, à maintenir ces tôles pendant plus d'une seconde dans cette gamme de température, en ce que l'opération de refroidissement comprend au moins une trempe pendant une durée inférieure à 12 secondes dans un bain aqueux maintenu sensiblement à une température supérieure à 75 degrés C, et de préférence à ébullition et en ce que la tôle est sortie du bain aqueux à une température inférieure à 550 degrés C.
