Abstract

Les feuilles de verre sont trempées par un procédé consistant à les chauffer à une température supérieure au point de déformation et voisine du point de ramollissement du verre, puis à soumettre les feuilles de verre chauffées à un fort refroidissement On détermine la température de la surface des feuilles de verre G dans le four 10 en plusieurs points perpendiculairement à la direction d'avance des feuilles par un balayage avec un pyromètre 34 de rayonnement pivotant pendant l'avance de la feuille et on la maintient constante par une série d'éléments chauffants 26 individuellement commandés. On obtient une trempe uniforme des feuilles de verre sans gauchissement.
