Abstract

Fer dans lequel le joint entre les parties en matières plastiques est toujours soumis à une compression. Il comprend : une première plaque en matière plastique 14 disposée au-dessus de la semelle 10 et ayant essentiellement la même surface; une deuxième enveloppe 12 en matière plastique possédant une poignée, et montée de façon étanche sur la première plaque, et supportée par cette dernière; la plaque et l'enveloppe formant les parois d'un réservoir interne d'eau et renfermant les composants fonctionnels du fer à repasser; et le joint d'étanchéité 38, 42, 44, étant disposé le long de toutes les surfaces de contact entre la plaque et l'enveloppe, et formé de manière à fournir une partie sous compression lors de la dilatation ou de la contraction des matières plastiques afin de toujours réaliser l'étanchéité entre ces dernières. Application aux fers à vapeur.
