Abstract

A combination of laminated film with 'bubble cap' air pockets and an adhesive coating on the exposed face of the support film or the bubble crowns is used for impact resistant masking tape for protecting selected zones of e.g. car bodywork during fabrication. The film is also suitable for wrapping articles or lining irregular containers to protect goods against scratching or knocks. Opt. the film with the thermoformed bubbles is sandwiched between two flat films, either or both of which may be adhesive coated externally.
