Abstract

752,968. Labels. HARRIS,. D. B. June 25, 1954, No. 18789/54. Class 73 A protected label assembly comprises a label sheet 11, Fig. 3, having its rear side covered with adhesive and a transparent protective cover sheet 14 larger than the label sheet 11 and with a covering of pressure-sensitive adhesive 17 on its front side, the cover sheet 14 and label sheet 11 being joined in spaced apart parallel relationship by means of tabs 15 and anchor piece 15a integral with the cover sheet 14 and adhering to the adhesive coating on the rear of the label sheet 11. On removal of a backing strip 18 protecting the adhesive 17 on the cover sheet 14, the latter is folded downwards about scored lines 23 to overlie the label sheet 14 with the adhesive coating 1,7 in contact with the front side of the label sheet 11 as shown in Fig. 4. If the adhesive on the label sheet 11 is of the pressure sensitive type a backing strip 21, Fig. 2 (not shown), is provided to cover it.
