Abstract

The label carrier and protector consists of a pocket into which a label can be inserted, then adhesively attached to a parcel or container so that the label is visible. It has a transparent sheet with a margin of adhesive (8) around four edges and carrying a silicone coated paper layer of the same size. A cut (9, 10, 11) made around three sides, forms a tear strip (13) which is only half the width of the adhesive strip, leaving a narrow strip of adhesive exposed. Another cut (12) down the fourth side produces another tear strip (15) which is as wide as the adhesive strip. This enables the label to be inserted along the line of termination of the adhesive. The pocked can now be attached by the adhesive strip which runs around four edges.
