Class 3(2) [Also in Groups VI and XV] A label or sign comprises a pressure sensitive adhesive tape portion 12 Fig. 2 with a backing 11a, 11b covering the major central area of the adhesive side, the end areas of the tape being covered with removable backing strips 16 separable or separate from the main backing 11a, 11b. The main backing is first removed and the central area of the tape applied to a surface using the end strips 16 as handles for manipulating the tape, whereupon the strips 16 Fig. 4 are removed and the tape ends applied to the surface. As shown scored lines or indentations 15 separate the strips 16 from the main backing which itself may be divided in parts 11a, 11b separated by a score line 18,
