Abstract

Packaging material comprising >=2 laminated plastic sheets enclosing air filled pockets has >=1 face of the composite sheet coated with a contact adhesive. Used for lining the walls of containers/boxes etc. or for direct application to the surface of an article to be enclosed by packaging such as laminated polyethylene blister films weighing 80-500 g/m2. Precoated adhesive sheet is simple to apply and retains its position to inhibit disturbance with consequent interruption of the impact resistance and/or insulation provided by the packaging material.
