Abstract

Tape is sufficiently flexible and thick to bond two rigid rough surfaces, and consists of a layer of expanded polystyrene having both surfaces coated with a film of synthetic adhesive compatible with polystyrene and protected by a sheet of paper. Pref. an acrylic adhesive used and the paper layer is pref. coated with a silicone. The tape may be used to bond an object to a rigid irregular support such as a wall.
