Abstract

L'invention concerne les générateurs électrochimiques à électrolyte alcalin et dont la matière active positive est à base d'oxyde d'argent bivalent. Selon l'invention, un sulfure est ajouté à l'électrolyte alcalin ou à la matière active positive, du côté positif du séparateur. Le sulfure ajouté qui peut être le sulfure de cadmium, de calcium, de mercure, stannique ou de tungstène ou un mélange de tels sulfures accroît la stabilité de la matière à base d'oxyde d'argent bivalent dans l'électrolyte alcalin sans perturbation de la reaction électrochimique lors de la décharge. Application aux piles utilisées pour l'alimentation des montres électroniques.
