Abstract

L'invention concerne les piles sèches de type Leclanché. Elle se rapporte à une pile ayant un mélange cathodique qui contient MnO2 de structure cristalline beta et de l'hétairite ou une matière qui peut former de l'hétairite avec une vitesse suffisamment rapide au cours de la décharge de la pile. Le bioxyde de manganese de structure beta est tiré d'un minerai naturel, et il s'agit avantageusement de pyrolusite. Application à la fabrication des piles électriques pour lampes de poche, postes radioélectriques et calculatrices de poche.
