Abstract

Polymère vulcanisé du genre caoutchouc, chargé en silice et possédant des propriétés améliorées, et sa préparation. On forme un mélange de 100 parties d'un polymère hydrocarboné portant d'environ 4 à 60 milliéquivalents de groupes époxy par 100 g avec 5 à 100 parties de silice, on soumet ce mélange à un traitement dans lequel il est exposé à des contraintes de cisaillement à une température d'environ 100 à 175 degrés C, on refroidit, on ajoute les agents vulcanisants et on vulcanise à chaud. Le procédé selon l'invention permet de parvenir à des élastomères chargés en silice dont les propriétés se rapprochent de celles des élastomères vulcanisés chargés en noir de carbone.
