Abstract

The terra-cotta tile is used for the roof of a dwelling house, and has a curved shape, so that it may be placed alternately up and down with others to form a duct and a cover. The convex side of the tile (1) has two stop-pieces (2) positioned symmetrically in relation to the centre axis of the tile, and preventing the tile from slipping. The side edges of the tile has a slanting ridge. The stop-pieces are situated in the narrowest part of the section at a little distance from the end. The area covered by the tiles of one row amounts to roughly one quarter of their total length.
