Abstract

The wheel set is designed for use on railway tracks of different gauge width. The running wheels (2) are seated on sockets (4) by means of roller bearings (3) with the sockets embracing both ends of the axle (5). The outside of the wheels have units (20) rigidly fixed on the sockets, fitted with lengthways channels (21). These units are mounted in axle bushings housings (15) for bushings (8), and checked in the transverse directions by prisms (18) rigidly fixed in these housings. The axle bushing housings can be constructed from vertical walling sections (14) with supports (16) fixed to them and with guideways in the lower part, while the bottom side of the bushing is a sliding unit (28).
