Abstract

Procédé pour enlever des matières organiques et des composés d'azote des eaux résiduaires à l'aide de micro-organismes, lequel procédé comporte que les eaux résiduaires à traiter passent en continu et successivement par une zone de dénitrification et une zone de nitrification alors qu'une partie du liquide sortant de la zone de nitrification est ramenée à la zone de dénitrification et que le reste est évacué du système. Le procédé est caractérisé en ce qu'une partie des eaux résiduaires à traiter est amenée directement à la zone de nitrification, la dénitrification est effectuée dans un réacteur à courant montant ou plusieurs de ceux-ci accouplés en série, la zone de nitrification est alternativement aérée. On applique le procédé pour épurer l'eau résiduaire de ménage et d'industrie.
