EL AGUA A DEPURAR SE INTRODUCE PRIMERO EN UNA ETAPA DE ACTIVACION CON CARGA VOLUMETRICA ELEVADA, ETAPA DE ADSORCION; LUEGO SE PASA A UNA ETAPA DE CLARIFICACION INTERMEDIA CON EXTRACCION DE LODO Y LUEGO SE INTRODUCE EN UNA ETAPA CON CARGA VOLUMETRICA DEBIL, A LA QUE SIGUE UNA ETAPA DE CLARIFICACION POSTERIOR CON EXTRACCION DE LODO. EN LA ETAPA DE ADSORCION SE TRABAJA CON AEROBIOS FACULTATIVOS Y EL LODO SE MANTIENE EN LA FASE DE INCORPORACION, CON AYUDA DE LA EXTRACCION DE LODO DESDE LA ETAPA DE CLARIFICACION INTERMEDIA. EN LA ETAPA DE CARGA VOLUMETRICA DEBIL SE REALIZA UNA NITRIFICACION Y A CONTINUACION UNA DESNITRIFICACION. EL LODO DE CLARIFICACION SE PUEDE INTRODUCIR COMO LODO DE RETORNO EN LA ETAPA DE ADSORCION Y EL DE CLARIFICACION POSTERIOR SE PUEDE INTRODUCIR COMO LODO DE RETORNO EN LA ETAPA DE CARGA VOLUMETRICA DEBIL.
