Il comprend un coin destiné à être introduit au centre de l'une des extrémités du câble de façon que les torons de ce dernier soient disposés le long de sa périphérie extérieure, une douille disposée autour du coin et des torons du câble bloquant ces derniers entre elle et le coin Un élément de jonction pouvant être vissé sur la douille comprend une broche destinée à être introduite dans l'un des maillons de la chaîne Application à l'élingue de suspension commandée par le treuil d'un camion-grue utilisé dans l'industrie du pétrole et du gaz.
