Abstract

The solar heating system uses a fluid heat transfer medium which circulates in a closed circuit between a collector and a heat sink. The collector consists of a translucent thick glass sheet and two transparent sheets which define two vacuum chambers. A heating chamber has a black radiator and is traversed by the fluid circuit, a panel separating the air in the radiator chamber from that in the space being heated. The thick glass sheet may have a grooved outer surface, not frosted which allows a view of the black radiator.
