Abstract

The solar heating system forms a supplementary method of heating air for circulation in a building, and uses one or more panels mounted on a roof or south facing wall. Inside a casing is a blackened metal sheet spaced by an air gap from a double glazed sheet. Between them, forming the air gap, are baffle strips. These baffles form a zig-zag path between an inlet gap at one corner and a discharge gap through the rear of the casing at a diagonally opposite corner for the flow of air. The glazing is secured around the edges of the casing by resilient sealing strips.
