Abstract

Le tambour 7, tournant autour d'un axe 36 sensiblement horizontal, reçoit des moules de sable 2 contenant des pièces moulées 12. Les moules se désintègrent à l'entrée du tambour et le sable 10 sort refroidi et sèche de l'extrémité de sortie 33 du tambour par des perforations 16, tandis que les pièces 12, avant qu'elles ne sortent refroidies par cette même extrémité, sont élevées, par des électro-aimants 38 par exemple, ce qui permet de disposer le convoyeur d'évacuation 17 horizontalement et de raccourcir ce convoyeur, et de rapprocher l'appareil suivant, une cabine de sablage pour nettoyer les pièces 12 par exemple, de la sortie du tambour 7.
