Abstract

A water reservoir is provided at high level in a building. Water flows from its outlet to drive a double acting reciprocating hydraulic motor. This operates a water pump which delivers water from a vessel to a water turbine. The turbine drives an electrical generator and the water returns from it to the vessel. The discharge from the main motor is divided into two streams which both drop to the bottom of the building where each drives a motor. The motors drive pumps which raise the water back to the reservoir at the top of the building. The water drives a second turbine immediately above the reservoir as it enters the reservoir. This turbine drives a second generator.
