Abstract

The foot bindings are for use in cross country skiing and are employed for uphill skiing only. For downhill skiing they are removed, the ski boot being held directly between the stops on the ski. These stops also secure the baseplate for the foot bindings, this baseplate being in two sections and adjusted for length by screws. The front section has a pivoted plate attached, used to hold the skiers boot and equipped with a fixed front stop for the toe and a rear stop for the heel. This rear stop includes a coil spring for hooking over the boot.
