Abstract

The fixing is used to secure the sole plate of a relase binding to a ski, the plate can be easily removed for maintenance purposes. It comprises a baseplate (21) fixed onto the ski and used as a location for the base assembly of the ski brake (24, 32). This assembly is retained in a recess (7) in the baseplate and is secured by the release binding sole plate fitting on top. At the front, the sole plate (8) has two holes for locating studs (22) clipping into place to scure it. These studs are mounted on leaf spring (26) in the baseplate recess, being pushed downwards (10, 11) to release the sole plate.
