Abstract

The fixing are for cross country skiing and can be used with alpine or nordic skis. The front fixing consists of a rigid stirrup whose front part is hinged to the ski. It is held in place by a strap. The sides of the stirrup extend round the sole of the boot and the back part fits into notches under the sole. The back fixing consists of a spring clip and is shaped to fit on to the heel of the boot when skiing. During walking this clip is free on its support.
