Abstract

L'invention est relative à un procédé de saponification des copolymères d'éthylène et d'acétate de vinyle. Le procédé de l'invention consiste à mettre en suspension des particules de copolymère de 0,1 à 8 mm de diamètre dans 1 à 12 parties en poids d'un alcool et à saponifier par un hydroxyde alcalin ou un alcoolate alcalin à une température inférieure au point de ramollissement du copolymère. On obtient des produits de saponification homogènes et incolores d'une manière simple et économique.
