Abstract

L'invention concerne les cellules d'électrolyse à diaphragme ou membrane. Elle se rapporte à une cellule d'électrolyse dans laquelle une structure métallique perforée 24 porte un revêtement 25 d'une matière électrocalytiquement active. La distance séparant la membrane 26 de l'anode 22 permet le dégagement du chlore gazeux, alors que la distance importante séparant la membrane 26 de la cathode 30 est importante et permet le dégagement facile de l'hydrogène. Application à l'électrolyse des saumures pour la fabrication d'hydroxydes alcalins.
