Abstract

Procédé et appareil pour ralentir un véhicule pourvu d'une boîte de vitesses épicycloïdale comprenant un train d'engrenages de marche arrière R. Dans un fonctionnement normal, pour l'enclenchement de la marche arrière, le train d'engrenages de marche arrière R contient un élément de réaction 24 qui est bloqué de manière à inverser le sens de rotation de l'arbre de sortie 14 de la boîte de vitesse. Pour assurer un ralentissement, l'élément de réaction 24 de marche arrière n'est pas bloqué mais le moyen de blocage est actionné de manière à permettre un fonctionnement avec patinage ou fonctionnement intermittent du train d'engrenages de marche arrière de manière que l'on obtienne un fonctionnement ralenti mais non renversé de l'arbre de sortie 14.
