Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation des surfaces d'une bande ou tôle d'acier 10 en vue d'un revêtement par immersion à chaud sans flux avec du métal en fusion, consistant à faire passer la bande ou tôle dans une première zone de chauffage 12, à poursuivre le chauffage de la bande ou tôle dans une autre zone de chauffage 14 et à refroidir la bande ou tôle dans une zone de refroidissement 20 approximativement jusqu'à la température du métal de revêtement 28 en fusion dans une atmosphère protectrice. Selon l'invention, on augmente la capacité d'absorption d'énergie rayonnante de la bande ou tôle dans les zones de chauffage par formation d'une couche visible contenant de l'oxyde de fer dans la première zone de chauffage et par préservation de cette couche dans l'autre zone de chauffage. Revêtement de l'acier.
