Abstract

La présente invention concerne de nouveaux dérivés interphénylène de 11,12 sécoprostaglandines. On prépare ces nouveaux dérivés par l'alcoylation échelonnée de l'ester d'éthyle ou de l'ester de t-butyle de l'acide acétoacétique. Un tel procédé comporte le traitement de l'ester de t-butyle d'acide acétoacétique avec une base forte de manière à former l'anion, suivi du traitement avec du p-(3-bromopropyl)benzoate d'éthyle de manière à produire du 4-(4-tertbutoxycarbonyl-5-oxo-hexyl)benzoate d'éthyle, après quoi on fait reagir l'anion de benzoate ainsi formé avec du 1-chloro-4-acétoxynonane de manière à produire du 4-(4-acétyl-4-tertbutoxycarbonyl-8-acétoxytridécyl)benzoate d'éthyle et cela est suivi d'une décarboxylation et d'une hydrolyse alcaline pour donner le produit acide 4-(4-acétyl-8-hydroxytridécyl)bénzoïque désiré. Ces composés sont utiles comme médicaments dans le traitement des patients souffrant d'insuffisance rénale et dans la prévention du rejet d'organes greffés.
