Abstract
L'invention est du domaine des détecteurs de gaz combustibles perfectionné. Selon l'invention, une cellule électrochimique à électrolyte solide conduisant les ions à oxygène 22 est utilisée pour pomper l'oxygène aux fins de réaction de combustion avec les composants combustibles d'un environnement gazeux ME qui diffusent à travers une ouverture 14 d'une enveloppe 12, l'enveloppe 12 formant conjointement avec la cellule électrochimique une chambre intérieure 30, tandis que la f.e.m. développée entre les électrodes de la cellule électrochimique pompe suffisamment d'oxygène pour assurer une combustion complète du combustible qui diffuse à travers l'ouverture pour gagner la chambre intérieure. Application à la détection de l'hydrogène, du méthane, de l'oxyde de carbone et des gaz combustibles courants.
