Abstract
La présente invention concerne une varistance et son procédé de fabrication. Une telle varistance comprend un corps fritté 1 comprenant essentiellement du ZnO et des additifs. Au moins 10 % en poids du ZnO est constitué de grains de ZnO ayant une dimension de grains située dans la gamme de 50 à 500 microns. Ces grains sont obtenus à partir d'un mélange de départ comprenant des grains de ZnO ayant une dimension dans la gamme de 20 à 200 microns. Application à des varistances pouvant absorber de fortes surcharges et fonctionner à des températures allant jusqu'à 150 degrés C.
