Abstract

L'invention a trait à un élément optique destiné à être utilisé dans un dispositif de transmission optique. L'élément optique comporte une ou plusieurs fibres optiques éventuellement munies d'une couche protectrice appliquée autour de chacune des fibres, et comporte en outre un élement de renfort. La ou les fibres optiques 1, éventuellement munies d'une couche protectrice, et l'élément de renfort 6 sont munis d'un revêtement 7 s'adaptant étroitement, de même matériau, appliqué séparément ou communément autour d'une ou de plusieurs fibres 1 et autour de l'élément 6, avec une section transversale essentiellement circulaire, le ou les revêtements sur les fibres optiques étant liés solidement au revêtement sur l'élément de renfort au moyen d'une patte 8 continue ou interrompue localement dont l'épaisseur est sensiblement moindre que le diamètre des revêtements et où en outre la ou les fibres 1 ont un trajet incurvé ou ondulé. Application : notamment aux télécâbles.
