Abstract

The disc brakes are applied by movement of the hydraulic cylinder (9) which operates on the scissor levers (8) pivoted about the central pivot (7). The brake discs (1) are held between the pad assemblies (2). Each pad is able to rotate about an axis parallel to a support plate, and has a locking device with the support plate. The support plate carries two arms which are located and locked onto the plate. The support pad is faced with friction material (3) which comes into contact with the disc.
