Abstract

Procédé de tricotage mis en oeuvre au moyen d'un métier à tricoter comprenant au moins une série d'aiguilles pouvant être amenée à avancer à partir d'une position de rejet pour effectuer un cycle de tricotage. Au moins une série d'aiguilles est déplacée en arrière de la position de rejet de façon à être amenée dans une position inactive et est maintenue dans celle-ci jusqu'à ce qu'au moins une rangée air été tricotée par le métier, de sorte que ces aiguilles se trouvant dans la position inactive ne tricotent pas et ne portent pas de tissu. L'invention est applicable à différents types de métiers à tricoter et, en particulier, à des métiers à tricoter circulaires comportant au moins deux fontures.
