Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation de certains benzotrichlorures chlorés sur le noyau. Le procédé consiste à faire réagir le p-chlorobenzotrichlorure avec le chlore ou un composé libérant du chlore en présence de chlorure de fer-(III) ou de chlorure d'aluminium ou d'un mélange des deux avec du dichlorure monosulfuré ou du dichlorure disulfuré utilisé comme catalyseur, le cas échéant en présence de diluants inertes, à des températures comprises entre 0 et 180 degrés C. Les benzotrichlorures chlorés sur le noyau que l'on peut obtenir par le procédé de l'invention peuvent être utilisés comme plastifiants pour matières plastiques ou aussi comme solvants. Ce sont en outre des matières premières pour la préparation d'éthers diphényliques substitués doués de propriétés herbicides.
