Abstract

Dispositif de transcodage de mots de longueur fixe en mots de longueur variable et réciproquement. Le dispositif est adaptatif en ce qu'il tient compte du contexte défini par les états précédents avant de prendre chaque décision. Il comporte à cet effet un registre d'états 7 permettant d'extraire d'une mémoire 9 les informations de transition d'un état donné à l'état suivant; le contenu du registre de sortie 11 est en partie réutilisé pour charger le registre d'état à l'étape suivante.
