Abstract
PURPOSE:To convert an ADPCM code of voice into a normal PCM code with a simple circuit constitution, by changing a quantized width required for the quantized value of a differential signal according to the ADPCM code. CONSTITUTION:An amount corresponding to a plurality of predetermined quantized step sizes is stored in the 1st memory 62. A pointer 60 which designates the address of the 1st memory 62 and outputs one of amounts corresponding to the quantized step size from the 1st memory 62 is provided, the pointer moving amount is stored and the pointer output is moved according to an ADPCM code in the 2nd memory 59. The 1st register 63 which inputs the output of the 1st memory 62 and outputs the reference value corresponding to each digit of the amplitude bit at the ADPCM code, and the 2nd register which can store the reporduced PCM code are provided, and the sum or difference between the PCM code immediately before and the reference amount corresponding to each digit according to each digit amoung the polarity bit of the present ADPCM and the amplitude bit is taken, allowing to obtain the present PCM code.
