Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de production de fibres par séchage par atomisation. Ledit procédé consiste à introduire une matière fibrogène de viscosité prédéterminée dans un atomiseur d'un appareil de séchage par atomisation, ledit atomiseur favorisant formation des fibres, de préférence à la formation de particules, à maintenir la température régnant dans une chambre de séchage de l'appareil pour obtenir des fibres séchées, et à rassembler ces dernières dans des conditions telles que l'intégrité des fibres ne soit pas très affectée. Application à la production de fibres de matière minérale et réfractaire.
