Abstract
The efficiency improvement unit has a continuously operating series controller consisting of a control transistor operating as an emitter follower, whose base is connected to a driver circuit. The control transistor (STT) is connected to a voltage source whose voltage depends only on the required output voltage of the supply unit and the control transistor (STT) collector-emitter voltage. The driver circuit is connected to an auxiliary voltage source (HSP), with the value of the delivered voltage alone corresp. to the driver circuit requirements. In control transistor (STT) is in a cascade circuit connection with a driver transistor (TRT) and an auxiliary transistor (VTT), the collectors of which are connected with the auxiliary voltage source (HSP).
